5 Days of Events Leading up to the 2018 Grey Cup

The 106th Grey Cup is going to be an incredible event in Edmonton, Canada. There are five action-packed filled days leading up to the event that should entertain fans of all ages. There will be events for the biggest football fans, eSports fans, and the biggest music fans. All of the events will inspire an atmosphere that will make for an amazing 2018 Grey Cup

The 5-day Grey Cup festival is starting off with the Tim Horton’s Kick-Off party on Wednesday, November 21st on Jasper Avenue From 99 To 96 Street. The event is free for all ages and everyone should bring their families from 6-8 PM to enjoy the festivities

Thursday will bring plenty of amazing events to all of Edmonton. One of the most pristine events is the CFL awards presented by Shaw. The CFL Awards recognizes eleven of the best players from around the league. The categories include: Most Outstanding Rookie, Most Outstanding Defensive Player, Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman, Most Outstanding Special Teams Player, Most Outstanding Player, Most Outstanding Canadian, Commissioner’s Award, Jake Gaudaur Veterans’ Affairs Award, Tom Pate Memorial Award, Hugh Campbell Distinguished Leadership Award, and Coach of the Year Award. Tickets cost $175 so be sure to save up so you can see your favorite CFL players win awards on the biggest stage.

Thursday also is bringing an exciting eSports tournament to Edmonton at the Nissan Titan Street Festival. Teams of five will compete against seven other teams in League of Legends for a chance to win the main prize. The tournament is being run over three days, generally from 6 PM to 10 PM. The event is free if you are watching.

Friday will have plenty of exciting events as well. The Spirit of Edmonton Breakfast starts off early at 8 AM and runs until 12 PM which will give you plenty of time to try the famed Sluice Juice. Only a select few know the true ingredients of Sluice Juice but everyone who tries it loves it and always goes back for more. With performances by CFL Cheer Teams, The Spirit Dancers, and more there will be entertainment for everyone who attends.

Friday also has the CFL Alumni Association luncheon where fans will be able to share a meal with some of their favorite players and hear all about their incredible stories throughout the years of playing. The CFLAA will also be awarding their 2018 Man of the Year award so this is an event that you will not want to miss. Tickets are only $125 and you can purchase them right here.

Biggest Names in Entertainment

Alan Doyle of Great Big Sea will be playing the Grey Cup Gala Dinner on Friday, November 23rd at the Shaw Conference Center. Doyle will be accompanied by Martin Kerr, Celeigh Cardinal, and Paul Woida to round out a truly incredible night of entertainment. The night includes a Cocktail Reception, Four Course Meal, Live Entertainment, and a Commemorative Grey Cup Gift. The tickets cost $375 each so it will be a costly night but well worth the cost for a full night of amazing entertainment.

The Coors Light Concert is $75 but you can see Loverboy, Trooper, and Kim Mitchell all for an incredible price. The concert is always great fun and will not fail to entertain.

The Grey Cup is always an extremely entertaining event that is filled with action-packed Canadian football.
